Service contract forecast for €4.5 million journalist training and networking project

The European Commission has published a forecast for a €4.5 million contract for journalist training and networking under its ENPI regional communication programme 2011-2013. The publication reference of the forecast is EuropeAid/131173/C/SER/Multi.
The purpose of this contract, which covers both the eastern and southern ENPI regions, is to provide:
- Media seminars and training in the field of EU cooperation and EU policy (ENP related). This activity will be at the level of field journalists and editors. It will target printed press, online media, TV and radio.
- Media workshop and training in the field of online media, journalism skills and financial independence of media. This activity will be at the level of field journalists and editors. It will target printed press, online media, TV and radio.
- Networking of ENPI media.
The indicative budget for the contract is €4.5 million.
The project follows on from the EU-funded Training and Network Building project (European Neighbourhood Journalism Network), funded under the 2007-2010 ENPI regional information and communication programme.
