At 7:20pm on January 24, 2011, Tyrone D Murphy said…: During the past I was the subject to a libel action by the media haunt the Groucho Club to restrain publication of a book I am writing about the club. I won this case after the Groucho club issued a discontinuance notice. This was just five days after a former manager of the club came forward and made a statement to support my case.

I was also subject to bankruptcy proceedings which were issued by the Groucho Club the same day the discontinuance notice was issued; The Groucho club did this knowing that I had a legitimate claim for costs against. I was later awarded costs in the High Court for the libel action and now the bankruptcy proceedings are also at an end. I believe that this move was clearly an abuse of the legal process by the club.

I have been busy investigating the management of the club for the book about the club. I have over the past two years issued several press releases about the club but it appears that no newspaper will dare write anything negative about the Groucho Club. I find this astonishing, does the Groucho Club have a strangle hold over the media or are journalists in the UK subject to their own self censorship.

Recently I have discovered a network of paedophiles operating on the Groucho Club member’s web site forum. A press release was issued about the discovery, but to date not one journalist or publication will dare write about the horrendous discovery.
