InAU will launch a public web-site that will monitor Internet pornography.

On February 9 at the Internet Association of Ukraine (InAU) headquarters a briefing had been held for the media representatives dedicated to a Safe Internet Day (celebrated worldwide February 10). The briefing mostly covered the latest initiatives by the Association in their effort to make Internet a better, safer place (at least in its Ukrainian segment). Russian Parliament passes changes to copyright legislation.

Below I present a quote from a copyright law newly issued by the Russian Gosduma. This will affect entire Russia’s population, including those who use Internet and web-services: “It is permissible for a person to reproduce a legally published work of art without both author’s authorization and/or license payments if it is necessary and solely for personal use.” This law amendment was approved by Gosduma with some interesting circumstances. Medvedev guarantees TV time for opposition

At last justice prevails for the representatives of Russian parliament minority. At least you can get that feeling from the last statement Russian President Medvedev has made about the new legislation project that he is going to pass to Derzhduma some time this month.
