"Discussion at the Separation Wall", by Nino Zhizhilashvili, Liberali newspaper. 16/04/10. Jerusalem

Summary: what we know about the Israeli-Palestine conflict far away from the Middle East? Mainly the daily news: political statements, negotiations without essential changes and some sad stories: atrocities, attacks, murders, etc. There is an impression at a glance that no chance for peace in the region but when speak with the ordinary people you can get a real picture how they are tired.

The story for Georgian weekly magazine "Liberali" is about the controversial ideas of conflict solving process among the society in Israel but main the that those attitudes, like my respondent expressed exist in Israel. "We should not control Palestinians militarily", - Ehud, young human rights defender says.

Feedback in Georgia: the article was discussed in a social network Facebook as soon as it was published at the web-page of magazine "Liberali". The whole discussion is copied in the attached file. Some readers liked the material and decided to post more details on conflict, others discussed the liberal ideas of the article's hero - Ehud, the representative of the non-profit organization "Ir Amim" and author's sympathies towards him. Unfortunately, the following file is only for my Georgian colleagues and visitors of Journalism Network's web-page as the language is Georgian.

Well done Nino - really good to see the Facebook discussion too, despite the fact I can't read it.

Thank you Richard,
The trip was very, very insteresting: access with real people - sides, real problems, new contacts... I would like to express my gratitude towards the organisers of the trip and the hosts whom we met in Israel and Palestine.
Best wishes, Nino
