Berlin Wall again attracted the attention of the world
In the end of the II World War Germany as being lost side of the war in 1948 was divided into 4 regions-American, French, English and Soviet states- among winner countries of the war. There was very bad economy and very totalitarian political administration in Eastern Germany. So inspite of all serious efforts the government couldn’t prevent runs of people to the West. Big sort of the runs were realized from Berlin that was why following the instructions of the administration of Germany Democratic Republic was decided to build the wall which passed trough the centre of Berlin. There was information that 30 thousand people run from Eastern Germany to the West during the 1948-1961th years. So the Berlin wall became the symbol of the divided Germany. The length of the wall building in August 13, 1961 was 100 kilometres and its 43 kilometres passed from the inside of the city. But even construction of the wall could not prevent the runs of germans to Western Germany who fed up with socialism and Soviet government. There was information that approximately 200 people achieved to pass boundary successfully since the wall was risen. But 3000 people who wanted to be free were arrested when they were trying to jump over the wall. In the end of the 80th years national senses rose in Germany, the people who wanted the uniting Germany mainly gathered around the Berlin wall. After a few weeks continued protests in the night of the Novemer 9th ,1989 communist authority of Eastern Germany had to open the boundary doors which separated Berlin into east and west. Most of the historians appreciate this event as the begining of the new era in the modern history of Europe and the beginning of the end USSR. This day was declined as a day of uniting Germnay. That is why germane people celebrate this day every year. The 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall was celebrated with special magnificent.
1000 dominoeses substituted the Berlin wall
In the 9th of November during the celebration of the event were participated the last chief of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, the leader of the Solidarnost movement Lech Wales, the prime minister of USA Hilary Clinton, the prime minister of great Britain Gordon Braun, France president Nikola Sarkozi and Russia president Dmitri Medvedev. Before the holiday ceremonies there was made huge dominoes stones in the streets of the capital as a symbol of the Berlin wall which divided the country into two places. This project was realized by the public organizations initiatives. The height of the symbolic wall was 2.5, the width was 1 metre. The thickness of the 1000 dominoeses stones were 40 centimeters. Each dominoes had 20 kilograms weight. The german and foreign artists painted different pictures on the dominoeses stones meaning the unity of Germnay and peace. The symbolic wall was made around Potsdamer Platz and Reyxstaq where was the Berlin wall. And in the end of the ceremony the symbolic wall was wrecked by participating the heads of the states EU Berliners watched to the event from the 12 giant screens assembled in the squares of the city. But this time ex-president of Poland Lech Wales, chairman of the EC Joze Manuel Barozza and the last chief of the USSR Mikhail Garbachev wrecked the wall.

In the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall the leaders’ speech of the world was interesting. For instance, federal chancellor Angela Merkel addressed to Mikhail Gorbachev and Lech Wales that many thanks for them to making unity of Germany possible. During the ceremony the briskest applauded political leader was State Secretary of USA Hilary Clinton. H.Clinton valued the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall one of the most important event of the XX century. And she said that this event changed political landscape of hole continent. H. Clinton noticed that these events which happened in 1989 showed how it was necessary in fighting against international dangers and protecting of the democracy and human rights.
Then H.Clinton delivered the congratulations of the president of USA Barac Obama to ceremony participants. On this time Barac Obama’s speech was demonstrated from the big screen assembled in the square of the city. Barac Obama said that during the last 20 years events in Berlin opened the new page in history and Obama said that this event devoted to the fall of the Berlin wall most of all is the holiday of the people still not being free.
As Azerbaijani it is impossible not remember the Turkmenchay and Gulustan agreements signing between Russia and Iran in 1813 during this event in Berlin. According these agreements Azerbaijan was divided into South and North. In 1991, 18 October the South Azerbaijan could be free republic. But the South Azerbaijan still under the powerty of Iran Republic and there live more than 30 millions azerbaijani. The North Azerbaijanis still hope to unite with their southern brothers.
