She's rightly proud of some of the changes brought in recently, 10 women ambassadors,  35 women MP's, up from two, over a hundred women local councillors.
Question time. Divorce rate has decreased overall, less men divorcing women due to legal reforms. "there is a new culture of marital dialogue"

Radio Van next: Do Moroccan women now understand their rights?

Answer: she gets out of the office, engages with the whole nation. The number of complaints re womens violence has gone up, but this just shows how more aware women are of their rights

Minister is talking of how, in her view, Morocco's reforms of womens rights comply not only with international standards, but also the Koran
Given up on using the Iphone, can't type on the keyboard fast enough. Anyway, Minister is wrapping up and we're getting ready to do some broadcast interviews. She's good value, very sharp quotes on the compatibility of women's rights and Islam, alongside the need to deepen awareness further of their legislative rights.

Signing off for now...

Women in arabic countries - it is a very interesting topic> I knew the situation in Tunisia, and I guess it is much more differs compared with Morocco.
